Mushing for Fuel

On February 6, 2010 the Annual 100 Mile Wilderness Sled Dog Race will take place in the beautiful Maine Highlands Region of Maine. Starting on Moosehead Lake in Greenville Maine. This year we are, once again, including a 30 mile race that will start and end in Greenville.

During the day there will be a tour company giving sled dog rides on the lake, experienced musher’s giving educational talks about the sport as well as a skijor demonstration which is a musher on cross country skis being towed by a happy canine athlete .

For the 2010 race we will continue our “Mushing for Fuel” program. A portion of the funds raised will go into fuel assistance programs in the Greenville community. Donations will come from the musher’s through their entrance fee, a portion of sponsorship funds and a 50/50 raffle .

We would like to take this opportunity to invite local organizations, individuals and businesses to consider becomming a sponsor or supporter. Let’s make this about helping people of the area.

Donation/sponsorship form in PDF or Word format.
